Please stand up quickly and say loudly the number on the flying balloons. T: Ok, watch carefully. 2 Language point—how to express time in an English way T: A good job. What can the parts make now? S: A clock. T: You’re right. On your desk, you can see many paper clocks. If you answer each question right, you can get one and put it into your box to win a score for your group. Let’s see which group will get the most scores at last. Are you ready? T: Now, try. What time is it on the clock? S1: It’s six thirty. T: We can also say ‘ It’s half past six.’ Teach: half, past S read in groups. T: What time is it on this clock? S1: It’s half past eight. T: What time is it now? S1: It’s four fifteen. S say the time together. Step 2 While-reading T shows 5 clocks: 6:30, 6:35, 6:50, 11:45, 4:15 T: At the time, is David free at home or at school? We can watch the cartoon and get the answer. S1: No, he isn’t. T: So, David has a …day. S: A busy day. T: From what time to what time is David busy? Can you just look at the pictures I give you and complete the sentences here?
